Read view (RV): The Next 100 Years

I do not adhere to Friedman’s assumption that Poland and Mexico would be the next great powers this century. Though possible, it’s more realistic to think that they’d play major roles in terms of economic (Mexico) and political (Poland) development in their respective realms. However, I concur with his hypothesis that …China’s power, though influential and significant in today’s international relations, will be challenged by the current hyperpower US as well as Japan. But I think, US-Israel and perhaps Turkey alliance versus Iraq-Russia-Arab countries axis could be the future major conflict in this century and perhaps, of the millenium.
